Samsung SDS has become the first company in the IT service industry to obtain ISO/IEC 42001 certification, the international standard for artificial intelligence (AI) management systems.
The AI management system is a global standard certification system for artificial intelligence management systems established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It is the most authoritative standard for evaluating whether a company manages risks and plays a responsible role in AI ethics throughout the process of developing and operating AI-enabled products and services.
In this audit, Samsung SDS was certified for its generative AI services FabriX*, Brity Copilot*, and Brity Automation*.
AI Management System (ISO/IEC 42001) Certification
The Korean Standards Association (KSA) comprehensively evaluated Samsung SDS' generative AI services, including ▲ AI management policy, ▲ AI management system, and ▲ AI risk management. As a result, Samsung SDS was officially recognized for its AI product development and service operation management regulations that meet international standards, as well as its ability to establish AI design/development, quality, and data management processes.
In addition, Samsung SDS is upgrading its digital responsibility management system to address risks and ethical issues that may arise in the development of generative AI products and services.
With this certification, we will provide AI services based on trust and responsibility to our customers, and we will continue to fulfill our social responsibility as an AI company by expanding the application of international standards to all of our products and services.
