Samsung SDS Suggests Cloud-based Business Innovation at “Real Summit 2022”

On August 30, Samsung SDS held “Real Summit 2022” event to share its strategies and best practices related to “Corporate growth and future through cloud” at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas Hotel in Korea.
Samsung SDS invited the corporate customers who are planning or undergoing digital innovation through cloud to the event prepared with various programs under the theme of “Business and factory innovation in cloud environment.”
At the event, Sungwoo Hwang, President and CEO of Samsung SDS, announced Samsung SDS’s “DT Cube” framework, a three-dimensional methodology that supports customers’ optimized digital transformation.
Recently, companies that plan to migrate their system to cloud are in need to establish a multi/hybrid strategy to achieve the optimum level of data security and system function while minimizing the expenditure cost.
Samsung SDS is making company-wide efforts to support its customers’ execution of cloud migration strategy. The CEO especially emphasized company’s movement to strengthen its Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP), its private cloud service that launched last year, while enhancing its MSP capabilities by achieving over 5,000 public cloud qualifications.
The CEO also announced Samsung SDS’s plan to provide various services such as SaaS(Software as a service), data analytics, automation and knowledge management on its new IT business platform to efficiently support customer’s cloud migration process.
Jongcheel Im, executive vice president and the leader of Consulting team, delivered the first key note on “The corporate future completed with cloud and data.” He presented best practice case where Samsung SDS applied customer-tailored multi/hybrid cloud to secure resource scalability and operational efficiency, and an innovative case where analysis utilization was improved by connecting and integrating scattered data.
Next, Eunjoo Lee, executive vice president and leader of Cloud Product Planning Team, defined 12 factors* to consider for effective cloud migration at her speech on “12 building blocks of cloud transformation.”

Moreover, Joseph Ahn, executive vice president and the director of Factory Solution Business, presented “Smart factory realized through cloud and digital twin” and shared the need for virtuous cycle between each element of cloud MES, unmanned automation of factory and digital twin. He also introduced the execution system of Samsung SDS’s upcoming smart factory service packed with cloud and digital twin.
Other than the above speeches, a total of 18 sessions under the theme of “Business and factory innovation in cloud environment” were presented in 3 tracks, and Samsung SDS experts of each industry provided on-site consulting to provide solutions to customers’ concerns.
