+ Plans in place to aggressively expand business in North America, making it a leading global solution
Samsung SDS showcased SRM SaaS, its supplier relationship management (SRM) solution, at the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo™ 2024 conference held in Orlando, Florida, USA.
An SRM solution helps effective procurement of items needed for business activities including materials for product manufacturing, parts, workforces, and services. It offers end-to-end support covering all areas, including supplier discovery, collaboration, and evaluation, as well as procurement planning, and risk management.
Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo™ is the world’s largest supply chain symposium attended by over 100 companies and 3,800 experts globally.
During the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo™ 2024 conference, held from May 6th to 8th, Samsung SDS garnered significant attention when it introduced its SRM SaaS solution and various use cases alongside emro, an AI-based procurement SCM software company in Korea.
Samsung SDS’s SRM SaaS harnesses AI technology to manage the entire procurement process and has strong advantages in direct procurement.
In particular, the solution can forecast and simulate the cost of parts from the new product development phase by leveraging its cost forecasting, item similarity analysis algorithms, etc. It can also manage target costs by product and organization. In addition, during the mass production phase, the solution provides ongoing support for optimized procurement activities in terms of cost, quality, and supplier management, in alignment with supply chain plans.
With Samsung SDS’s SRM SaaS, companies can manage the whole process encompassing supply chain planning, logistics execution, and procurement/supplier management using this single platform, thereby gaining a comprehensive overview of the entire supply chain at a glance.
Hae-goo Song, Executive Vice President and Leader of the Solution Business Division at Samsung SDS, said, “Currently, we are actively pursuing business in the automotive and high-tech sectors in North America. The superb technological power and business competitiveness of SRM SaaS were proven at the symposium. We plan to further develop the solution into a leading global solution.”
