Samsung SDS unveiled its preliminary financial results for the first quarter of 2025, posting a revenue of KRW 3.4898 trillion and an operating profit of KRW 268.5 billion. Compared to the same period last year, the company’s revenue and operating profit rose by 7.5% and 18.9%, respectively.

Revenue from the IT service sector was KRW 1.6004 trillion, up 3% from the same period last year.

Revenue from the cloud business rose 23% YOY, recording KRW 652.9 billion. Cloud revenue accounted for over 40% of total revenue in the IT services business for the first time.

Among the cloud businesses, the Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP)-based CSP business witnessed a 42% growth YOY thanks to increases in the high-performance computing (HPC) service, the expansion of the cloud network service, and the expansion of the public-private partnership (PPP)-based public cloud service project for the Daegu Center of the National Information Resources Service (NIRS).

The managed service provider (MSP) business grew 12% YOY. This is thanks to cloud migration/implementation for financial and retail companies; and the expansion of global enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain management (SCM) businesses.

Revenue from the logistics sector was KRW 1.8894 trillion, up 11.6% from the same period last year. This growth was driven by the acquisition of new customers, and the increase in cargo volumes due to early shipment demands before the enforcement of U.S. reciprocal tariffs.

Cello Square, a digital logistics platform, marked revenues of KRW 285 billion, up 12% YOY. The number of subscribers to Cello Square rose to approximately 20,200 companies.

Samsung SDS anticipates growing challenges in the industrial landscape amid economic uncertainty, but the company plans to continue its business expansion with a focus on cloud and generative AI services, and Cello Square.
