Samsung SDS Appoints New CEO

On November 28th, Samsung SDS announced the appointment of June-hee Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics, as its new President and CEO.

The newly appointed President Lee graduated from the Department of Electronics Engineering at Seoul National University and earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States. As an expert in IT and communications technology, he joined Samsung Electronics’ Digital Media & Communications (DMC) R&D Center in 2006. He has demonstrated excellent technological leadership and managerial capabilities in roles, such as Technological Strategy Team Leader for the Mobile Communications Division, and the Leader of the Development Team and the Strategic Marketing Team within the Network Business Division.

President Lee is expected to lay the foundation for Samsung SDS's new leap forward and sustainable growth by leveraging his expertise demonstrated in the technological innovation of the Samsung Galaxy Series and world’s first commercialization of 5G networks.

Samsung SDS will finalize and announce its annual executive appointments for 2025, including those of Vice President and other executives, in the near future.
